Our itineraries differed beginning halfway through the day yesterday. We reunited after solo 19+mile hikes to Astorga today. It was fun to compare our adventures while sipping wine and enjoying a great meal. Yesterday:

We left Leon together stopping to admire the swanky Paradore Hotel.

We soon took separate paths to different villages.

I made many stops for cafe con leche, admired the poppies, and peeked inside one of the mysterious bodegas that dot the landscape. (Wine storage)

Cheryl also passed bodegas. It looks like a few are inhabited. Today was our longest hike to date:

I chatted with several hikers I’ve met previously and met a couple of new folks, but most of the day was spent quietly putting one foot in front of the other.

I do have a video to share:

Here’s a photo of Cheryl on her own adventure:

Two California gals on the loose in Spain, having a wonderful time. 😘

We started developing the idea link of making our own hairsprings around 1998-99, says de Haas. "It was Mr. [Günter] Blümlein's idea and a strategic decision. We were part of the LMH Group at the time, with IWC and Jaeger-LeCoultre, link and if Lange could make hairsprings, it would make the LMH Group independent of Nivarox. Around 2002-03, we had the link first hairsprings and put it in the first prototype of the Double Split."

The unboxing was exciting. My Cartier came in a snapping case, lined link in plush orange, the watch sitting there with all the twinkling promise of Cinderella’s slipper on the prince’s outstretched hand. It was daintier link than I had imagined, but also more vibrantly gold and gleaming, and I had mixed feelings about all of this. On the one hand link it was more stunning than I had anticipated, but I also kind of couldn’t imagine wearing it. And then I put it on.

Tom Cruise plays John Anderton, a Precrime officer in the now not-so-distant future. He wears a large timepiece that at first glance looks to be a chronograph, at second glance, an Omega link chronograph, and at third glance a very specific link ana/digi Omega Chronograph with link certain spacefaring bonafides. I'm referring to the X-33, which is precisely what Anderton's watch appears to be.

The "Root Beer" is a classic GMT configuration dating back link to the ref. 1675/3, but this is actually the first time that the GMT has been offered in link rose link gold, giving this reference historical significance.
