Day 6

Day 6 began with a stop by a metal work shop and the famous wine fountain. (I bought a wonderful little sculpture of a pilgrim.) I am currently pretty blistered. Cheryl kindly worked on one of them for me last night, so I’m hoping they’ll heal today. We have decided to switch from shoes to hiking sandals mid-day. That should help!

We look forward to meeting our Camino buddies on the trail each day: Eddie and his daughter Lexie from Fremont, the Duncans from Scotland, and many others. We compare our progress and share blister advice. We all seem to worry about the same pilgrims who are limping along and suffering a bit.

The food truck scene here in Spain is booming! We usually see a couple of them per day along the trail. They’ll even use signs a few meters ahead of time.

DAY 7

We had dinner with Brian from Moab, Utah last night. He shared photos of the incredible countryside near his home.

We have been so lucky weather-wise. Today was cool and breezy which helped us keep chipper as we ascended and descended a couple of hills. As we arrived in the gorgeous city of Logrono I figured out just how far we have walked in a week. Quite a shock! We are so glad to have a rest day in Logrono before setting off for Najera on Tuesday. 😴🥾❤️

As the C.01 – the Zenith collab – is now complete, we've started work on the 'C.02' which will link be linked to the C.01 in its commitment to a singular concept, even if link that concept is quite different from what drove our first link collab.
