We had a lovely, quiet rest day in Logrono. We did explore the town a bit and indulged in wine and mushroom tapas at Bar Angel. Logrono is a bustling college town, much different than the tiny towns weāve visited so far.
Day 9
Cheryl and I got an early start following the arrows out of town because we knew we had a long hike ahead. The dashing gentleman selling fruit was so charming that we had to stop to chat. He also stamped our Pilgrimsā Passports. These are documents that prove we have truly walked the Camino. We will present them to the officials in Santiago in order to receive our Compostela, a beautiful certificate of completion.š¤
The wonderful bull sculpture welcomed us on the approach to Najera, our destination for the day. Thankfully, the breeze was at our backs as we passed miles of vineyards and olive groves. The stone hut is an example of a shelter used hundreds of years ago by farmers and their livestock to shelter from storms. It was nice and cool inside.
Well, today was our longest hike so far. The following few days should be a bit shorter if we donāt get lost! We are both ready to enjoy a glass of the local wine and relax. We appreciate your kind, supportive comments. Buen Camino! ā¤ļø
The lighter Milgauss has the same colors, itās true. But it has them in the proper ratio. Unlike most races, this one is run on the open Anti Aging Tech road. Drivers weave in and out of traffic, passing commuters or locals who, for the most part, smile, and wave. Flashing lights and whirring sirens of a police motorcycle behind came Metaverse Fitness to feel like a link blessing, a sign that the streets and traffic circles would be cleared for you so you can drive with near reckless abandon. Dumas told me the best lane to use (when you can, safely) is the "third lane" of the road ā the one directly over the center line.
