I finished my afternoon by meeting these Camino angels. Before I tell you about them, let me show and tell you about earlier in the day…
We left Sarria at 7:30 heading for Portomarin. Along the way we celebrated reaching the marker that indicated we were beginning our final 100km. We also had a wonderful lunch break with Carolyn, a delightful American pilgrim. As we finished lunch, I realized that I’d misplaced my Pilgrim’s Credential, my book that I fill with stamps along the way to prove I’ve completed the walk and earned my Compostela certificate. I was disappointed, but had a feeling that it would turn up somehow.
Along the way we had many wonderful distractions to take my mind off the loss of my credential book.
When we arrived in Portomarin we decided to have a glass of wine at a little outdoor cafe. As we sat there I heard a young man ask some girls if any of them was named Susan. I jumped up and announced that I was Susan! The young man’s name was Mike and he said he knew who had my credential. He texted the person and then asked me to wait there. This wonderful group soon arrived and boisterously presented me with my Pilgrim’s Passport! The other diners applauded and a woman insisted on taking photos. This group of young Spaniards had spent much of their day looking for me. They are truly examples of that “Camino magic” I’ve heard so much about. ❤️

Who could forget when Cartier released link the Tank Must collection a coupleof years ago bringing back a series of colorful dials into steel cases? Well, what's better than a Cartier colorful dial in steel? You guessed it, link a colorful Cartier dial in gold. This yellow gold, green dial Tank Louis Cartier is one sweet example of that and harkens back to the link Must de Cartier models of old, only this is full YG with a manual movement to boot.
Yay for that Camino magic!!!!
