It has been such fun reuniting with our friends we’ve met along the way. This morning we were greeted by Pierre, Katherine, and Tchi

We encountered the trio several times during our hike. Tchi would give us a friendly bark and stop to be petted. I was so pleased that they accepted the little bracelets I had made to give to new friends. 🥾🇫🇷❤️ Pierre later took this photo of us:

We are inside a little building that included snacks and beverages for weary pilgrims. So appreciated! Also appreciated are the bathrooms we find every few miles. Definitely a cool feature of this Camino! Hailey rated this one 4⭐️ (No TP)

The weather was crisp and ideal for hiking. We were pleased to be out of the snow.

Camino Countdown:

Falls - 0!

Blisters - 0!

Croissants - We’ve lost count

Snakes - 1, Isabel and Semone saw a big one and now we are on high alert! 🐍

Bowls of coffee - 9 (The French have perfected the amount of coffee necessary to hike all day)

The landscape is slowly changing. The yellow Narcissus blanketing the hillsides is being edged out by tiny purple and dainty white blossoms. We have even spotted California poppies.

Tonight we had a group dinner at our hotel served family style. We were pleased to see Pierre and Katherine, and meet new folks. The family cat joined us after dessert.

The weather report looks good for tomorrow. The guidebook says we will hike through villages chosen as the most beautiful in France and cross bridges that are part of the UNESCO World Heritage list. (Hopefully, there will be charming bathrooms after our coffee bowls.)

🇫🇷❤️🥖🥐🐍🐺🚜

Even today, some 122 years since he link first laced up his shoes as a Pirate, 105 years since his retirement as a player, and 71 years since he left the team entirely (he spent link many years as a manager and coach), the baseball world still remembers and cherishes his contributions to the game. Last link week, ESPN released its controversial ranking of the best 100 players of all time, slotting Wagner in at number 12.

How exciting, what beautiful pictures that you have taken and shared with us, as I sit here on my sofa with my knee and ice therapy machine to heal myself. So that way in the future, I will be able to hike along with you folks. It’s so amazing. I am so excited for you. God’s blessings to you all along the way take care. Be safe and enjoy every moment. Thank you again for showing us your journey as I sit here with my bowl of coffee. Lol biggest hugs. Your friend Manuel.
