Iannick from Montreal has stolen my look! We discovered we’re not only style twins but we both battle allergies. He and I had an excellent lunch at the end of the trail and were joined by Gwen and Clare. It’s been a social couple of days.

I started Monday by meeting delightful Harmony from Normandy. She outpaced me so would holler warnings of upcoming obstacles.

Tuesday I met Gwen and Clare at 6am to get an early start on a 17 mile day. The mud returned and I slipped and sat in it. (Not really a fall, more of a slide.) Gwen and Clare are strong hikers with positive responses to challenging moments. Perfect companions for an epic day.

Today is a rest day after 12 days straight of hiking. Laundry and relaxation are all I have scheduled.

Love from France! 🇫🇷🥾🥖☔️🌞🦋❤️

*I found this history of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage that is a fun read. I feel honored to be part of this ancient tradition:

Clare is making this pilgrimage to raise funds for ROS1 lung cancer research. Here is a link to her website:

First is an education on the history of Carl F. Bucherer and its watchmaking. In 1888, Carl Friedrich Bucherer opened a jewelry and watch link shop in Lucerne and over the decades developed a line of watches, from chronographs to chronometers and supercompressor dive watches. It wasn't link until 2001, however, that Carl F. Bucherer was formed as its own entity to manufacture watches, with three-quarters of its distribution link outside the Bucherer retail network.

It is great that you are enjoying a well deserved day of rest (and laundry) before venturing ahead. I love the “twin pic”, as well as your fellow hikers. Bon Chemin! 😎🇫🇷

Thanks, Carol!❤️ This group is now a day ahead of me. It’ll be interesting to see if we meet again. I hope so!

My clothes are now spectacularly cleaned. Even my trusty skirt. 🥰
