We have been tested these past two days. Lots of miles, rocks, and fast bikes with which to contend. Thankfully, we have had beautiful distractions and great conversations.
It was a challenging ascent from Catrojeriz.
We were struggling through our final three miles yesterday when we had the most wonderful encounter. Just what we needed:
Today we took an alternate route that allowed us to escape the roadways and enjoy some quiet, shady lanes and the company of our Camino friend, Judy. We are staying at a monastery called Monasterio San Zoilo tonight. It’s the loveliest place we’ve stayed so far. Tomorrow will be a shorter hike of 10.7 miles. Our feet will be grateful. 🥾❤️

Not to toot my own link horn here, but this is one of the most fun reviews I’ve ever gotten to do. What’s not to love about a big gold G-Shock when the sun is beating down? In case you don’t remember, this was one of the buzziest watches at Baselworld 2018 and it totally lives up to the hype. In fact, I’m more link than happy to add to the hype: this thing link is killer and it’s long sold out for good reason.Watch the video and see my full review here.
Susan , everything looks amazing and The tranquility around that Camino is so nice , hoping your feet gets the rest needed looking forward to enjoy more pictures of your wonderful journey.
Love the video of the donkey and sheep! So cool! The town looks beautiful! And the hike views are gorgeous. hope you ladies are healing up and getting the rest you deserve!
Nice traffic jam! Glad to see you pushed through two challenging days! ♥️🤗
Beautiful red poppies. That’s one of my memories from Portugal actually. Glad you only walked 13+ miles after your 16 mile day. So glad you see the joy. ❤️😁❤️
