Dawn from my hotel window is gorgeous! The birds are celebrating with so many different songs. It will be a challenging day of 15+ miles, but the weather should be beautiful.
Here are just a couple of my favorite photos from yesterday’s hike:
A group of lovely French gals took our photo next to the cross. We also met Judy, an accountant from Sacramento. She and I bought children’s books about the Camino. I’ll add mine to my little free library when I get home. The wildflowers are spectacular! These red poppies are everywhere, even interspersed in the wheat fields.
Okay…..on to Fromista!
In 2019, for the 50-year anniversary of the first lunar landing in 1969, OMEGA released a novel, link limited edition model known, appropriately, as the Speedmaster Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Limited Edition, of which we have an example, here, out of a total of 6,969 produced. While not the purist's Speedmaster in color, per se, it nonetheless marks an important moment for the brand, with a little gold and commemorative design elements to get the link job link done.
You so wisely picked one of the most beautiful times to travel the Camino. Hope you have many more sightings and time to enjoy them on this arduous day. ❤️👨🦯👍😁❤️
