Day 7 - Conversations with Pilgrims ❤️

The 3 gals from California chatted with folks from Germany, the UK, Canada, Uruguay and the US today. We started the day meeting Susan and Keith from Canada who were just beginning their pilgrimage. They were in high spirits.
After rerouting, we skimmed the coastline before heading uphill. It was one of our steepest climbs, but we were rewarded with stunning views.
We stopped at the first cafe in Baiona and were greeted by many familiar pilgrims. Judy was tearfully embraced by Susan from Canada who lamented, "Why am I doing this when I could be in Hawaii on a beach?" We all encouraged them to persevere. We hope to see them in Santiago!
We are now taking a much needed rest day in a hotel that was once a fort. We look forward to being re-energized for the next phase of our journey.

I enjoy every word, photo and video! You all are doing such a great job. You are very inspiring and I know you bring a lot of cheer and encouragement to all your fellow pilgrims! Bravo!!
