We started the day reuniting with Alice, the first person we met on the trail. She was so sweet to show us that she's wearing the bracelet we gave to her. Her friend Petra asked for one and we also gave a bracelet to Wim, Alice's husband. Lovely folks from the Netherlands.
We made our way toward Spain stopping at a tiny chapel where a gentleman stamped our pilgrim credentials and gave us a tour, pointing out the date the chapel was built, 1652.
Now we are in Spain trying to remember to say, "Gracias" instead of "Obrigada." Sad to be leaving our Pasteis de Nata and kind Portuguese folks, but looking forward to more adventures.
Keeping Count:
Pasteis de Nata - combined total - 26!!! 😳
Bracelets - 7 ❤️

Love to you all

Always in awe of what human beings can create out of stone. I have been researching recipes for pasteis de nata and will need some taste testers for authenticity..... Enjoy Spain. Looking forward to your next post.
