Day 3 - So much beauty!

Dee took this photo from the dining room at our hotel. We are lucky gals to have the opportunity to experience such beauty.
Today's hike took us through so many diverse environments. The sea was almost always in view, but we veered away from it to walk through neighborhoods and admire gardens, wind through the forest and listen to the river flowing beside us, and visit with our fellow pilgrims. We met folks from Slovakia, Czech Republic, France and Germany. We did not meet any Americans!
We so appreciated the abundance of beautiful signs to guide us along the way.
The flowers were so varied and gorgeous that our pace was slowed by our constant need to photograph them! We spotted some red poppies and thought of our dear friend Carol Maiocco who asked us to look for them. ❤️
Our most challenging day so far also seemed to reward us more than any other. We chatted, laughed, and cheered each other on.

Tomorrow appears to be a lower mileage day. Our feet would appreciate that!

Loved the sunset and poppies and knowing that you are all enjoying the trek and each other. 👨🦯❤️😎
What spectacular photos! How interesting that you're not meeting any other Americans. Any idea why that would be the case?
Thank you so much for sharing. Loving your adventure.
