A dry trail! I only had to avoid a few sloppy sections today which felt like such a gift. It was just over 16 miles to my next room for the night, but the milder weather helped the miles fly by.

I started my day by walking across the famous Pont Valentre, a Renaissance Period bridge that spans the Lot River leaving Cahors.

I reunited with Marie along the way and we stopped for a coffee where I met my first American pilgrim, Gary from San Francisco.

Just down the trail I met two gals from Sacramento. I’m no longer the lone American!

When I reached my inn for the night the owner announced I’d be staying in the treehouse. I thought he was joking or there was a language barrier until I was led to my magical room! It was beautifully appointed and made a perfect nesting spot. ❤️

A homemade dinner and conversations with fellow pilgrims from Quebec, France, Germany and Holland made for an unforgettable evening.

Today’s forecast is for more wind and rain. I’ll bundle up and leave my treetop home to see what the trail has in store for me.

Camino Countdown:

Wild animals - 2 🦌 on the trail

Body check - Still holding together

Falls - 0

Fellow Americans - 3

Clean clothes - 0 (handwashing just isn’t getting it done)

Bon Chemin/ Buen Camino!

❤️🇫🇷🥖🌦️🥾🦌🦋🍷🥰

Episode 2 is equally distinguished by the 70s style that's quintessential to the M79 line, sporting a barrel-shaped case with a slightly larger diameter of 40mm, domed link acrylic crystal, lume-filled rounded indices, lug-to-lug of 18mm, and is paired with a sporty mesh stainless steel bracelet. This watch is powered by the Miyota M79 movement with 40 hours of power reserve. Like link the previous episode, the caseback has been engraved with each watch's unique serial number out link of 500.

What a surprise for you to stay in a treehouse after a vigorous day of hiking. Glad it was comfortable. Your international dinner at that enormous dining room table must have been comforting way to end your day, as long as you were all able to communicate with each other! Ha Ha

Wonderful treehouse at the end of a long day. So pleased you have a few fellow Americans. And from California! One step at a time. Enjoy. 😁🦋👍👨‍🦯❤️
