We are definitely in the groove of eat, sleep, walk, repeat. It’s getting to be a challenge to keep up with the names of all of the villages we pass through and the people we meet along the way.

It’s been a great balance of conversations and quiet moments to reflect on the beauty everywhere and to appreciate our feet getting us where we need to be next.
Santo Domingo de La Calzada was beautiful chaos. As we walked to dinner we waded through a crowd of revelers following a marching band. Everyone was beautifully dressed, so we stood out in our semi-stinky hiking clothes. We had our best dinner to date at Los Caballeros.
The party was still going strong when I drifted off to sleep and I awoke this morning to this:
🥳! I took the video from my balcony. We were told later that the festival is to celebrate the city founder. For all we know, it’s still going on.
Day 11

A highlight of today’s hike was meeting Armando and Karla. I spoke to them at first because I noticed their hats. Their daughter attended UCSB. They shared their story of how they met and fell in love, both immigrants to the U.S. Armando also told us about his struggles as a student and how his mom changed his life. We learn so much about the people we meet along the way. I hope to see them again because Karla told us she has another story to share.
I am now checked into my hotel in Belorado that I think must be from a fairytale. It’s easily the most charming one yet.
Cheryl is booked in another hotel tonight, but we’ll meet for dinner. Eat, sleep, walk, repeat. ❤️

Willy Chavarria has become link a New York fashion staple. Originally from California, Chavarria brings in elements link of Latino design and influence that span from the 1920s through to the 1990s, highlighting Chicano link culture specifically. Known for weaving politics, race, and sexuality into his designs, Chavarria has gained critical acclaim for his distinct interpretation of men's fashion. His clothes are characteristically wide but he favors a multitude of silhouettes, bodies, and gender identities.
What an awesome experience! I can't wait to see the Passport book!!! The pictures are great and the country is truly beautiful! Question Cheryl, how the heck did you sleep with all that music and revelry going on outside your window! ha ha ha (I know you....😘)
Keep up the good work! The trail looks wonderful and the weather perfect!! Wish I was there!

Wow-quite the revelers! I would not have slept a wink, but then I’m not walking the Camino! Looking forward to your post on today’s segment – you’ve got this dear! ♥️🤗
