29/30 Sunshine!

A mostly dry trail! Temperatures reaching 70°! It feels miraculous. I’m soaking in the sunshine and savoring each step.
I reluctantly left my lovely accomodations in Miradoux yesterday. The charming hosts fixed a family style feast for dinner made with local ingredients. The hotel is called a Gîte which means there are rooms with common sleeping areas and shared bathrooms. There are also private rooms with bathrooms which was what I had.
Great hiking, a charming waiter, and gorgeous chapels made for an excellent day.
Today was even warmer. I enjoyed hiking a bit with Gwen from Austin and Claire from near Portland. Lovely gals. We all gathered to have beer, wine and Armagnac ice cream in the town square when we reached our village, La Romieu.
Tomorrow we hike to Condom. (No, that isn’t a typo.) There’s a music festival that encompasses the entire town for the next several days so it should be very lively!

I loved being able to procure the Cartier Tank Skeleton, and would love to get the Rotonde de Cartier Mysterious Hour Skeleton one day. My grail, link though, is the Vacheron Constantin Métiers d’Art Elegance Sartoriale collection, specifically the one with the herringbone pattern (1400U/000R-B159). It has been my grail watch for a long time and I have yet to see it in person. Maybe it is a bad idea to “meet link your hero” and it will not live up to my expectations, but I do hope to source it link one day.
